ABOUT US
The Mental Wellness Initiative is a platform created by a teen, for teens with the goal of raising awareness to the struggles many face with maintaining mental health and to provide resources for those who want to find ways to navigate through a balance of well being. As a high school student, it can become very challenging to find a balance between the academic and the social life and also find the time to take care of yourself. The Mental Wellness Initiative is here to create a supportive space where the youth can connect and learn about what causes our mental health to worsen and how we can create a better space for ourselves and those around us. Our blog posts cover a range of topics to help our readers in every way possible - from understanding different mental health disorders to share real life experiences and interviews - we aim to break the stigma that surrounds mental health and open honest conversations to our readers. At The Mental Wellness Initiative, our mission is to create empowerment and a movement of support, one post at a time!

FOUNDER
My name is Anita Pallipaden and I am currently a high school junior who is passionate about advocating for and bringing awareness to fellow students like me about mental health and how to keep a healthy well being. I believe in the grave importance of knowing more about mental health and how it can affect people, especially students who face so much stress and and pressure from overwhelming academic environments.
My goal is to break a negative stigma surrounding mental health and encourage open conversations, support, and provide resources though The Mental Health Initiative.
